Our Lady's Message of February 25 - "Dear children!  Today I call you to be my extended hands in this world

that puts God in the last place. You, little children, put God in the first place in your life. God will bless you and give you strength to bear witness to Him, the God of love and peace. I am With you and intercede for all of you.  Little children, do not forget that I love you with a tender love. Thank you for having responded to my call."

 

Rosary and Food Drive - We say the Rosary at 7:00 PM, prior to each general meeting. And don't forget a box or

can of food for Victory House! 

 

Attendance Award - The name of Gene Connell was drawn at the February meeting. Brother Gene was

absent and missed out on $50. Attend the March 17 meeting, and you could win $55.

 

Home Association - Over 100 of our 500 monthly lottery tickets go unsold every other month. More

Council brothers are needed to keep this a successful fundraiser. Please call Rich Scrak at 610-767-2340.

 

Fraternal - Please keep in your prayers the following who are on our sick list: Father Cliff Bishop, Cora and

PGK Carl Albarelli, PGK Terry Unger, Past State Deputy Parker Lessel.  PGK Jim Hogg reports that Father

Benedict Groeschel is improving and hoping to preach soon.

Miller Blood Center - Kindly identify any blood donations at the Miller Blood Bank with Trinity Council

#313. Phone 610-691-5850 for an appointment. Knights and their families are eligible to receive blood

when justified.

 

Pro-life - A pro-life Mass is held at Notre Dame Church at 8 AM, the second Saturday of each month. Following

Mass, many go to the abortion clinic in Allentown and say the Rosary.

 

A Stand Against Obscenity - If you encounter obscenity on the Internet, or other pornography openly

available to minors, contact Morality in Media via their web site, www.obscenitycrimes.org .

 

Knight And Family Of The Month - For the month of February, G.K. Steve Gorbos named Paul Bringenberg

the Knight of the Month. He also recognized PGK Stan and Rosemarie Tich as Family of the Month. Congratulations!

Knight Rider - We have several knights ready to pick up a brother knight to attend a council meeting, or other

St. Patrick's Dinner Dance, March 5th - Please see the enclosed flier for details. Bill Hlavinka and his Leprechauns will serve up a corned beef and cabbage dinner. Festivities will begin at 6:30 P.M. at ST. ANNE CHURCH, Washington and Easton Ave. Reserve a table and do it soon. Ecumenical Soup Kitchen, March 19 - Our Council will be responsible for a shift at the soup kitchen at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2nd and Chew Sts., Allentown. Rich Scrak needs 7 or 8 volunteers to work on the third Saturday every other month from noon to 3 P.M. Our first day is Saturday, March 19th and the next date will be May 21st. Wives are welcome. To volunteer or to get details, kindly call Rich @ 610-767-2340.

 

March 19-20 Membership Drive, St. Anne's Time and Talent Fair - Trinity Council is beginning it's spring membership drive by recruiting after all Masses 3/19 -20 (4:30 PM; 7:30,9:00,10:30, Noon.) We need at least one Knight after each Mass. If you can help, call GK Steve Gorbos, 610-866-1540.

 

Rosary For Life, April 4,7 PM, St. Anne's Church, Easton Ave. and Washington Ave. - On the Feast of the Annunciation, the Order celebrates the International Knights of Columbus Day of the Unborn Child. We will be praying the Rosary, followed by Benediction. Please plan to attend.

 

ARC Collection - The ARC collection is slated or Friday, 4/8, 6 - 9 PM, Saturday, April 9,10 - 4 PM. On Sunday, we will collect after Masses at Notre Dame, OLPH, and St. Anne's. We need volunteers. Please call Jim Faller at 610-691-7699.

 

Degrees - Congratulations to Lawrence Hanig, Dennis Hercik and Brian Trilli, who took their Second Degree on February 15th Our Council will hold a First Degree on March 17th. The Third Degree will be exemplified at SS Peter and Paul on Sunday, April 17th.

March Mania - Pennsylvania Knights are running a March Mania (College basketball) Sweepstakes. This will be mucho fun as you scratch off and get three seed numbers representing three teams in the Regionals.. When the teams and seed numbers are announced in early March, you can determine your actual college team names from the published brackets. Total scores of your three teams will determine prizes to be paid out after the First Round, after the Second Round, and after the tournament ends. If your team is eliminated, you still continue to carry that team's score. Top prize is $3,500 and total of all prizes is $10,OOO.Cost is $10 per ticket. Fourth Degree - Faithful Navigator John Philipavage attended our February meeting.

 

Fourth Degree Charity Event - DGK Jim Faller is Chairman of the Assembly 931's 22nd annual Charity Event to be held May 14 at SS Peter and Paul, Bethlehem. The charity recipient this year is the Victory House of Lehigh Valley. Black tie is optional and you do not have to be Fourth Degree Knight to attend.  All knights are welcome.  There will be a DJ for entertainment, dinner, guest speaker, and a 50/50 raffle.  Tickets are $30 each.  Contact Len Verrastro for dinner and 50/50 tickets.  Join in the fun.

 

4th Degree Exemplification - will be held on Sunday, June 26th at the Hilton Hotel in Scranton.  All 3rd degree members are encouraged to take the 4th degree.  Contact Ed Nickles our District Deputy for information.

 

The Basketball Free Throw competition took place at BECAHI on Saturday, 1/29/05. We congratulate the following boys who won their age group: David Derkits, 10; Michael Nester, 12; Nicholas Behmke, 13; and Michael Derkits, 14. Thanks to Chairman Ed Ortelli and all our volunteers.
