Grand Knight’s Message: We have just come through the season of Christmas where some of us, no doubt, once again, enjoyed Dickens “a Christmas Carol” where a selfish old man addicted to money is transformed by the “Spirits of Christmas” and by the Grace of God into a compassionate, generous man. Is there a lesson in this story as we approach St. Valentine’s day? How many Knights would lay down their lives for their faith such as St. Valentine did? Surely, we can at least use our means to help those who struggle in our midst.
Past Grand Knights’ Dinner. This event will be held at the Palace Restaurant on Friday, Feb. 27. Dinner will begin at 6:30 PM. Price is $20 per person. Come to honor your past Grand Knights and enjoy an evening of camaraderie and a great buffet meal.

Roundtable Update Perhaps it should be pointed out that roundtables are separate entities, that is, one for each parish where the pastor welcomes one. We have three such roundtables ongoing now; OLPH, Notre Dame and St. Anne’s. Projects include a food pantry at OLPH, which is well established. We are also working with Msgr. at OLPH involving the promotion of Giant food store gift certificates, which project is intended to help that church increase operating funds. The Notre Dame Roundtable team has now scheduled its second breakfast event. This will be Sun. Feb. 15, and there will be servings following the 7:30, 9:00 and 10:30 masses. At St. Anne’s another coffee-doughnut welcoming event is scheduled for February 22 after the 9 and 10:30 masses.
The roundtables are an excellent way to become really active in your council and, also, demonstrate how Knights can be useful in parish affairs. Get involved! Contact Roundtable Chairman, Bro. Mark Sewell at (610)-442-8593.
Basketball Free Throw – This annual event, postponed from Jan. 10, was finally held on Sun. Jan.25. We had a total of 21 youngsters participate, and many baskets sunk. Thanks to Bro. Eric Carr, who was the Organizer-in-Chief, and to all of our Knights who helped run it. Attendance Award Each month there is a chance monetary award that progresses by five dollars per month until there is a winner. The Feb. amount is up to $95 and we encourage you to be here and have a shot at winning. Good luck.
