Grand Knight’s Message: These are indeed challenging economic times. Some are losing their jobs,  their homes and many have realized significant losses in their retirement savings. When confronted with such difficulties, it is important to be reminded of our faith. Lent is the time of year when we turn our thoughts to our Lord who suffered and died for us. Despite our own troubles, we can remember that our real treasure is our Lord, to whom we can always turn to help carry our earthly burdens.

Past Grand Knights’ Dinner. This event was held at the Palace Restaurant on Friday, Feb. 27. Knights, Ladies and Fr. Mongiello made a total of twenty seven in attendance. Bro. Bob Pandaleon was awarded a past-grand knight’s pin.

Bishop Welsh. We note with sadness Bishop’s Welsh’s passing. He was an ardent knight and exuberant supporter of knight activities. He will truly be missed. Thanks to all our council knights who were involved in any of the services for Bishop Welsh.

Insurance-Field Agent’s Message:

KofC Whole Life Insurance Provides Value that Lasts a Lifetime

The advantages of permanent life insurance increase over time. Consider:

·   Provides a guaranteed death benefit for life.

·   Offers guaranteed increase in cash values each year

·   Only product guaranteed to create cash at the exact moment it is needed

·   Dividends have historically lowered the net cost considerably  (future dividends are not guaranteed)

OLPH:   Our Knights have been delivering, door-to-door, welcoming packages to new parishioners, and have just been given twenty more to hand out. Another project: a recycled phone collection during March for the benefit of the Special Olympians.

St. Anne’s : A new  parishioner coffee/doughnut welcoming event was held on Feb. 22 after the 9 and 10:30 AM masses.
