GRAND KNIGHT’S MESSAGE

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  As we begin the New Year, I wanted to dedicate this newsletter to all the Council Brothers - for the projects they have led in 2011.

Thanks to Brothers Kevin Collins and Mark Sewell for conducting the Football Extravaganza.  This is a major fundraiser for the Council and allows us to support local organizations and Brothers and families who need assistance from our parishes.  This year was another success!

Many thanks to Br. Jim Hogg who did a great job leading the Baby Bottle Program in many of the parishes Council 313 serves.  This too has been a major success and we look forward to seeing the result of the work in 2012.

Thanks to Br. Lenny Verrastro for organizing – what I thought was the best Christmas Party ever.   Thanks to Father Arnout for officiating the Mass.  Thanks to Br. John Corrado and his band, The CTP, who provided the entertainment.

Thanks to Br. Ed Ortelli who coordinated the 2011 Special Olympics Collection.  We collected $3500 for our Special Olympians!!

-And thanks to all the Brothers who served as Officers, and those that donated their time and talents.  We look forward to a great year, and planning has already begun for the 2012 Past Grand Knights Dinner, Communion Breakfast on Trinity Sunday, Annual Brother Picnic, and a Night out with the Knights at Coca-Cola Park to see the Iron Pigs play.  Check our website for dates and times of these (and more) events.

I hope to see each of our Brothers at our 2012 Business meetings.  We can’t do it without you!

Vivat Jesus!
